Kris Meeke loses WRC drive as Citroen terminates contract

Citroën has announced it has terminated Kris Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle's contracts following 'an excessively high number of crashes' this season. The British driver will therefore not be participating in the remainder of the World Rally Championship season with the French manufacturer. Citroën posted a statement saying a large number of crashes was the reason for their decision. 'Due to an excessively high number of crashes, some of which were particularly heavy, Citroën Racing WRT has decided to terminate the participation of Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle in the 2018 WRC.'
