Ott Tanak takes his maiden WRC title as Thierry Neuville wins Rally Espana

Ott Tanak has claimed his maiden World Rally Championship title with a brilliant second-place finish at Rally Catalunya. The Toyota driver did all he had to do to ensure the title was won with a round to spare, whilst title rival Thierry Neuville went on the claim the victory, but it was too little too late for the Hyundai driver. Neuville's performance this weekend in Spain has been nothing short of perfect after he took the lead on Saturday and remained there until the end, but with Tanak overhauling Hyundai's Dani Sordo during Sunday's final stage, it meant the title was in the bag for the Estonian.
